A Few Words from the Director of Camp “Leader” Russian/American summer camp "Leader" was created to open new horizons for our children. Our camp is a sports/health-improvement camp and has the wide variety of different sports and clubs. As the director of camp, I would like to say several words about the psychological and educational aspect of our work, since I consider this the most important component of our camp. It is no secret to anyone that the Russian meaning of life is very different from the American meaning of life; it is no secret that there is an absence of true education in the schools today, with the frequent change of teachers and classes. It is also true that children today are not given the chance and resources to develop their skills and abilities. Our goal at camp “Leader” is to make children decide their problems independently and to answer important questions. They will learn to work with other children as well as with adults. Almost every child in this particular camp will improve, by practice and dedication, in whichever area they show interest in. They will become more mature and have a new found understanding for things like: man and life. They will learn to respect and admire their fellow man - this is the psychological and educational aspect of the work of our association. I want to say that every child will take these important things from our camp without any doubt! Trainers and counselors will work with your child in groups and individually. I can say that the general work of the association allows your child:
1. To develop the habits of self-perfection.
2. To examine themselves and their place in life.
3. To get to know and to examine the surrounding peace.
4. To see and to understand the beautiful things in life.
Our camp is the particle of our history and culture. To keep the best traditions of our ancestors and native language is a special mission for our children and for us.

P.S. I want to reveal one of my secrets with you. For me, it is fascinating to be with your children. They teach me how to live, and this elixir of youth makes it possible for me to grow up and be young at heart as well.
